Who we are
About Us
Two perspectives. One shared vision. And a friendship that started long before LuLa did.
We have known each other for over 25 years — but it wasn't until Lisa moved to the Vale of Belvoir three years ago that the idea of working together properly took shape. We had both been successfully running our own interior design projects separately, and we shared a deep love of interiors that had shaped our careers in different ways. When we finally found ourselves living in the same place for the first time, it felt like the most natural thing in the world to bring our two worlds together and so LuLa was born.
What makes LuLa work so well is the dynamic between us. Lucy is quiet, considered and forensically detail-driven. She thinks before she speaks, weighs every option and has an academic rigour that comes from her First Class Honours Degree in Interior Design. She also shares her knowledge and expertise as a tutor at the National Design Academy in Nottingham, bringing a depth of understanding to every project she touches. Lisa is instinctive and bold — a career in fashion gave her an extraordinary eye for colour, print and the kind of effortless styling that makes a room feel alive.
Together we are something neither of us could quite be alone. Our clients consistently say the same thing — that working with both of us feels easy, energetic and completely unlike working with anyone else. That we finish each other's sentences and that we seem to know what each other is thinking before a word is spoken. That two heads, in this case, are very much better than one.
At LuLa every project begins with listening — really listening — to understand not just what you want your home to look like, but how you want it to feel. From that first conversation to the final reveal, you will have both of us with you every step of the way.
